With the exception of two weeks in December, when the song dropped into the Top 20, it has remained a constant presence in the Top 10. 'Blinding Lights' was first released in November 2019 and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 'Blinding Lights' is also tied with 'Closer' and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' 'Uptown Funk' for most time spent in the top three, all sitting at 21 weeks. 'Blinding Lights' has also beat out Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You' and the Chainsmokers and Halsey's 'Closer' (both hitting 27 weeks) for most weeks in the top five, with the Weeknd clocking 43 weeks total.
